#Overview

Spine v2.3.0 introduces a new auto-update feature.

Now, whenever a new version is released, you'll be notified directly in the app and can update to the latest version with just one click.

#Linux Installation Guide

• The Linux version is distributed as an AppImage

• After downloading, grant execute permission before running the file

  chmod +x SpineDesktop-linux-x64-dist.AppImage

#Auto Update

• Added auto-update feature
• Automatically checks for new releases at login
• If a new version is available, you'll be notified via an update popup and a notification bell
• Click [Update Now] and the download, installation, and restart will all proceed automatically
• No separate installer download or admin privileges required to update
• Click [View Release Notes] in the popup to instantly check what's changed in that version

#Notification Behavior

• Even if you postpone an update, the update item remains in the notification panel so you can proceed anytime
• Selecting [Don't show again] hides the popup for that version, and you'll be notified again when a newer version is released

#Notes

• An internet connection is required to check for updates
